HOMOSEXUALITY AND AIDS
Freddie's premature death of AIDS was a consequence of his imperfection and as a stigma it follows his name to this day. His complete artistic work is also stigmatized because of the same reason. People deliberately forget the fact that no heterosexually orientated person becomes a personality only on the basis of his/hers sexual orientation, so that no homosexually orientated person stops being one only on the basis on his/hers sexual orientation.
The truth is that homosexuality isn't natural. In spite of the great effort of homosexual people to make their lifestyle equal to that of heterosexual, it is still not possible to achieve that (even the old Greeks didn't succeed in it), because it is not possible to negate the dialectic of life. But derison is also not natural, nor are discrimination, cruelty and hatred, and those are precisely the attittudes homosexual people have to deal with most.
Love, which those people are looking for, is natural. Their feelings are also natural. So why don't they direct them towards natural partners so the sexual contact could also remain natural?
Every case of homosexuality is unique, because every person for him/herself decides to be a homosexual by focusing him/herself to a certain life's experience. But in its essence homosexuality has the same source as all the others activities of civilisation in the PRIMARY FEAR OF DEATH. The sheme of a human life is very simple - a person is born, has offsprings, gets old and dies. This is the reason why people, from the beginning of their consiousness, constantly search for a way to win over death and fulfill their bigest dream - immortality.
People live in misconception (which roots go to prehistory) that we are mortal because we are born through a woman. This means that we only have to find a way how to avoid the female element in this process and we shall be immortal.
People are trying to achieve immortality through numerous activities. One of the most common ways are all sorts of religions which offer eternal life. The science is also looking for a way, at a cost of suffering of millions of living creatures, in laboratories (cloning is the thing people are looking for - creating life without the direct participation of the female principle). Genetic engineers already rub their hands - little more time and they will be immortal.
Besides all those counted, homosexual people have an additional way of compensating their fear of death - they choose a partner of the same sex and live the sexual dialectic in an unconventional way. They have everything the others have - love and tenderness - but they don't have offsprings, which brings them an illusion of not getting old, of staying young forever.
So, after getting to the bottom of things like that we can't be surprised by the fact that the majority of homosexual people are artists, because artists most of all people live according to their own rules. This means that homosexual people are not so different from the others who had compensated their fear of death in some other way. Their situation is just much more complicated because sexuality is one of the most deliquate areas of a human life.

AIDS
Nature by itself is maybe not responsible for AIDS. There is little information about it, but the nature of this desease brings us to suspect it is perhaps a result of a human manipulation. HIV virus is contagious, it attacks the immune system and it is spread through blood and sexual contact. This kind of a virus has a capability of killing overplus of people in relatively short period of time. It expands in the poorest countries, especially in Africa.
We still don't know the truth about this disease, which is not a common epidemy any more, but it had become a pandemy.
Freddie Mercury is the most famous victim of AIDS. It is a big irony he was taken by death in such a cruel form because his unconventional sexuality was caused by his fear of death. Still, the fascinating personality of this great artist maybe helps in clearing the AIDS of stigma. It was a big wish of Freddie to clear this mysterious disease of stigma. This was one of the reasons he decided to stand in front of cameras, despite of his deadly illness. He wasn't wearing a mask this time, there was just him, hand in hand with death.
On the black and white film Queen released after his death we can see Freddie leaving us with his head high and without regrets.
"These Are the Days of Our Lives" is a Freddie's goodbye to us all.
